Alia Bhatt Talks About Still Being Remembered For Her Koffee With Karan Debacle

Swagata Dam , 30 Nov 2017

A far cry from the diplomatic damsels that most of our Bollywood actresses used to be in the past, the current brigade of Bollywood actresses is fierce, witty and outspoken. They don’t project themselves to be perfect, often talk about their flaws and when they make goof-ups in public, they take it to their stride. The young and talented Alia Bhatt is one of them. During her first stint on Karan Johar‘s chat show, Koffee With Karan, she had named ‘Prithviraj Chauhan‘ when asked who the President of India was.

She was trolled majorly for her mistake and she became the face of many memes and jokes. Instead of sulking about it, Ms. Bhatt decided to join the fun and collaborated with the AIB boys for a hilarious video about ‘What Alia Bhatt did after the internet turned her into the butt of all jokes?’

Several years later, even after delivering many impeccable performances, it seems some people still remember Alia for her ‘jokes’. But she isn’t complaining. While talking to Deccan Chronicle recently, she shared:

There are people all over the world who know me only because of this debacle. I was at Singapore Airport and the staff there said they know me. I thought maybe they’d seen one of my films but they said they really like my jokes. I guess at the end of the day, I’m just glad that I made someone happy.
