Several years ago, TV star Shilpa Shinde had called off her marriage with her actor beau Romit Raj. The two had fallen in love with each other after meeting on the sets of Maayka but unfortunately, their romance didn’t last forever. The actress, who’s currently inside the Bigg Boss house, was recently seen discussing their breakup with her co-contestant Puneesh Sharma. She mentioned how the wedding invitations had also been sent out but she decided to end things as they were very different people.
And now, Shilpa’s mom also opened up about it when the media asked her about her daughter’s wedding being called off:
Romit had proposed to her. And my daughter had accepted his proposal because he was a good person. Both of them decided to get married. But after some time they realized that their opinions are very different. In fact, both of their families are also very different. And it is very obvious that for a long-term relationship, you can’t compromise on such things. That is why my daughter decided to call off the marriage. She thought that it would be better to end the relationship now than going for a divorce.
Romit is currently happily married to Tina Kakkar and they also have a daughter.
