Salman Khan

Earlier today, Salman Khan was convicted in the 1998 black buck poaching case. Latest reports coming in indicate that the actor has been sentenced to a jail term of 2 years, which allows him to appeal for bail in the Jodhpur court. Chief Judicial Magistrate, Dev Kumar Khatri reportedly called him a ‘habitual offender’, and hence has been convicted while the others (Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Neelam Kothari) have been given the benefit of the doubt.

Salman’s lawyers are currently arguing for probation and pleading for a minimum sentence for him. If his bail plea gets rejected, he may have to spend time in prison  till Monday, after which he can re-apply for bail. Stay tuned to MissMalini.com for more updates.
