Dia Mirza who has stayed away from the big screen for a while will soon be seen in Rajkumar Hirani‘s, Sanju. Dia will be seen essaying the character of Sanjay Dutt‘s wife, Manyata Dutt while Ranbir Kapoor will be seen portraying, the titular role in the film. The biopic has created quite the buzz in the last couple of months and is easily one of the most anticipated movies of the year.

Earlier when Salman Khan was asked about the film, he had said that Sanju baba should have been cast to play himself for the last decade or so of his life but Dia has a different point of view on the same which she shared with DNA.

When the stunning actress was asked to comment on the same, she said:

I don’t know if it would make sense. Sanjay Dutt starring in his own biopic sounds so strange. It would be awkward. Also, he is very shy even when we ask him if he has seen any part of the film.

She went on to add:

Honestly, Sanjay wouldn’t want to do it. But you never know, maybe it would be interesting. However, Ranbir (Kapoor) is doing it and he is awesome.

After what we’ve seen in the trailer so far, Ranbir does seem to have done an amazing job with playing the reel-life Sanju.

We can’t wait to watch the film!
