It was months ago that Shahid Kapoor and Mira Kapoor took to Instagram to announce that they were expecting a second child. The photo had the adorable Misha Kapoor lying on a chalkboard with the words, ‘Big Sister’ written next to her. Ever since the announcement, well-wishers of the couple have been excitedly waiting for the baby to arrive. The couple rejoiced as they were blessed with a baby boy on the 5th of September and named him, Zain Kapoor.
Shahid is one actor who manages to impress his fans with his reel-life roles. However, recently, the Padmaavat actor left his fans impressed with his dedication to his real-life role of being a dad. Shahid, who has been busy with Batti Gul Meter Chalu missed a few days of promotions and took to Twitter to explain why. His reason was truly touching and something every parent would connect with.

The last few days have been tough. Misha running very high fever and Zain just came home. Have had to miss some promotions. Just 9 days to go for Batti Gul meter chalu to release but being a parent is above all else. Hope to resume promotions very soon.

It is so heartwarming to see Shahid take time out and give his full attention to his daddy duties! Shahid and Mira often share photos with their darling daughter Misha and we can’t wait to get a glimpse of the tiny bundle of joy, Zain too. <3
On the work front, Shahid’s Batti Gul Meter Chalu is slated to hit the theatres on the 21st of September. He will also start shooting for the Hindi remake of Arjun Reddy right after his paternity break.
