6 Super Interesting Things You Didn’t Know About Karan Wahi

Pallavi Manoj

You may know Karan Wahi as Dr. Sid from Dill Mill Gaye or as Ranveer Sisodia from the hit TV show, Remix or the multiple other intriguing characters he has played on screen. But there’s one thing in common between each of them – they are all extremely handsome, charming and super talented – just like he is in real life!

Just like his personality, the actor’s Mumbai home also exudes dollops of charm and vibrancy. Recently, our in-house home invader Priyam Saha got to invade his swanky and uber cool bachelor pad, thanks to Pepperfry and we got to know a lot more about this television heartthrob. And when I got to witness him up close and personal, I discovered many new facets of him.

Here are 6 things you may not have known about Karan Wahi:

He’s Learning How To Play The Flute

Apart from being a successful actor, anchor and a reality TV star, Wahi is also a music enthusiast. And he’s currently learning how to play the flute! Also, guess what? His teacher is none other than his best friend and contemporary, Rithvik Dhanjani. Karan told us why he had started learning the instrument.

I am learning the flute from Rithvik. He is a kickass flutist. It started off because I was irritated that he could play anything. He comes up with some new instrument every month and he plays it so well and you’re like, kaise karte ho bhai hume bhi sikha do.

Now I know what I need in life – talented friends who’d give me free lessons.

He’s Writing A Book

Karan Wahi

This is probably one of the most interesting things that Karan revealed to us. Turns out that he writes a lot and even maintains an everyday journal. He has written poetry, stories, a film and is currently even writing a book. But he also said that it will take quite a while to finish the book that he’s started writing. Karan disclosed that he has a very interesting ritual that he follows.

So, I had forgotten that I had written a letter when I was 13 and I recently found it. It was so cool because I don’t know this boy. I don’t remember this boy. That boy is telling me of a day on the cricket field. It was just so much fun reading it. So now, I write letters to myself. I wrote a letter to myself on my 40th birthday and posted it. It came to my address and I have kept it. It says open on 9th of June 2026. So I’ll wait for that.

Whoa! Isn’t that’s amazing? Now, that’s another feather to his cap – a soon-to-be author! Impressive stuff, na?

He Also Paints In His Free Time

Karan Wahi’s Paintings

All hardcore Karan Wahians may already know that he paints a lot. In fact, he has a playroom dedicated to keeping his masterpieces intact. He says that painting is a stressbuster for him. So, he takes some time out to do it.

He Has Been On Tinder

Karan Wahi

For all those who are unaware, Karan is single. So, just like the rest of us, he got curious and wanted to know what the rage around Tinder (the dating app) was and checked it out. He immediately went off it because it made him feel uncomfortable. He says he prefers the old school way of meeting and talking to people.

PS: He also dropped a hint at what he’s looking for in a romantic partner.

I like women who are driven because you can learn something from such women. And I want to learn, why not? We just keep talking about women empowerment and equality. So, why not learn a thing or two from your woman? When that happens, it will keep me in the relationship for much longer. I hope I find someone like that!

He Has Been Into Fitness Since His Childhood

Karan Wahi

One look at Karan’s Instagram and you’d know how fit he is. But ask him what his fitness regime is and he says it includes butter chicken and beer. But he also revealed that he was into fitness since he was just 6 years old and joined a gym when he was 14! For him, fitness is almost like breathing.

It’s all about knowing your body. I am 32 today and I have been into fitness since I was 6. I joined the gym when I was 14 and have been working out ever since. I was 18 when I had an 8 pack. At 19, I was on India’s first Men’s Health cover. It’s been a lot of hard work from early on. After so many years, I know what makes me gain weight and what doesn’t. I also play and run a lot and work out around 4 times a week. But I also eat butter chicken and love drinking beer too. It’s all about balance.

How I wish I had started thinking about fitness that early on in life so that I could’ve found the perfect work-life-fitness balance like him!

He Loves Interior Decorating

Karan Wahi

Karan loves doing up his house and as I’ve mentioned, we got to see that very closely. One look at his house and every myth about bachelor pads being untidy will be thrown out of the window. He has an incredible sense of home décor and his house is pretty serene and mostly all-white with well-thought-out pops of colour. As it turns out, Karan actually hand-picked each and every item for his home. He has quite a few quirky and unique pieces of furniture like the yellow-colored garden chair in his balcony and the Z-shaped side table.

Check out some of our favourite pieces from his house:
