After seeing Oprah Winfrey on the cover of ELLE India, we didn’t think our day could get any better. But we’re glad to inform that it did when we got to know that Beyoncé AKA Queen Bey, just wore the dress Deepika Padukone had already worn before on the Cannes Film Festival red carpet.

To make the grand appearance at the 2018 Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100 in South Africa, celebrity stylist Zerina Akers chose this billowy, bright pink gown from Ashi Studio couture. The protruding shoulders, the deep V-neckline and the magnanimous train were made to make a statement.

The only difference we could see in these custom-made gowns were the sleeves. Queen Bey’s gown had trumpet sleeves whereas Deepika’s gown was sleeveless. Even the way the gown was styled was very different. Celebrity stylist Shaleena Nathani chose to accessorise it with pointed-toe pink stilettos and drop earrings while Zerina styled it with sparkly silver heels and hoops.

We can’t believe this coincidence that two of our favourite global icons wore the same gown this year! Now, how cool is this?

We can’t seem to pick our favourite! Can you?
