9 Wedding Gowns From 2018 That Gave Us All The Dreamy Feels

Rashmi Bhosale

Though I am a Maharashtrian girl through and through and might never really end up getting married in a white gown, I still love to daydream about it. Weirdly enough my Pinterest board is equally filled with white wedding gowns as it is with Maharashtrian bridal looks. There is no escape to the dreaminess of it and the fairytale-like vibe it gives.

Especially, after seeing Priyanka Chopra‘s beautiful bespoke Ralph Lauren gown, it is hard not to daydream, no? Looking back at this year, it has been such a phenomenal one in terms of dreamy wedding gowns—thanks to some remarkable couples getting hitched. Even the prince of everyone’s dreams, Prince Harry, was married this year! Yes, that happened this year. It has definitely been a long year, hasn’t it? But getting back to the subject, my Pinterest board is now filled with the beautiful gowns we saw on equally beautiful women this year. Here are some of the ones that are worth bookmarking for inspo:

1. Priyanka Chopra Jonas

Our favourite desi girl just got hitched but what we couldn’t get over was her beautiful bespoke wedding gown from Ralph Lauren and what felt like a never-ending train that was 75 feet long. Personal touches like embroidered phrases and lace from her mother-in-law’s dress made this dress evem more special.

2. Meghan Markle

The first royal wedding of the year had everyone’s attention and everyone was eager to know what Meghan Markle would walk down the aisle in. Meghan did not disappoint as she made an ethereal entrance at the Windsor Castle in a custom-made Givenchy gown. The brand’s first female Artistic Director, Clare Waight Keller, had designed this dress.

3. Rose Leslie

Game Of Thrones might have been just a start for Rose Leslie and Kit Harington, but they sealed their bond for eternity this year with their wedding vows. Rose chose a breathtaking lacy gown from Elie Saab that had a vintage-style silhouette with a floral headband and a veil.

4. Princess Eugenie

Another royal wedding that took place this year was of Princess Eugenie. She wore a dress designed by Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos which was sans a veil but had a beautiful train to compensate.

5. Chiara Ferragni

Fashion blogger Chiara Ferragani didn’t have just one but two custom dresses from Dior designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri. Her wedding gown was a two-piece with a crochet lace romper and a skirt with elaborate white tulle. For the evening, she switched it to a quintessential Dior dress inspired by Maria Grazia Chiuri’s first collection for the brand.

6. Karlie Kloss

Another gorgeous Dior dress from the year was worn by Victoria’s Secret model, Karlie Kloss. She looked stunning in a custom long-sleeved lace dress with a tulle veil.

7. Mandy Moore

There has to be an unconventional dress on this list and this is it (Us)—Get It? Mandy Moore chose to go for blush pink ruffled dress from Rodarte. Even the polka dots made sure the wedding dress was a unique one and one that we’ll definitely remember.

8. Gwyneth Paltrow

Gwyneth Paltrow’s wedding gown was a special one as she collaborated with designer Pierpaolo Piccioli to create the stunner Valentino gown. The floral gown had a fit and flare silhouette with a tulle veil.

9. Kaley Cuoco

A modern bride-to-be should definitely check out Kaley Cuoco‘s wedding gown. Kaley wore a lace dress and beaded cape from Reem Acra for the ceremony and switched it up with a lacy jumpsuit by Tadashi Shoji.

Aren’t these gowns breathtaking?! I am in love with each one of them. Which one’s your favourite? Let me know in the comments below.
