A great script, amazing dialogues, and a brilliant screenplay will not come across in the same manner until justice is done to it by the actors. 2018 has been a good year for Bollywood and we are so glad about it. We have seen some breathtaking performances by the male actors who made sure that our movie experience this year was worth it all. The actors have shown us their versatility in movies and honestly, we loved seeing them in a different avatar. So here we’ve compiled a list of actors whose performance we’ve loved in 2018. (Let us tell you, this is in no particular order.)
Ranbir Kapoor
For Ranbir, Sanju was definitely a challenging film. The actor portrayed Sanjay Dutt‘s role with so much perfection in the Rajkumar Hirani directorial that he surpassed our expectations. One thing we know for sure, give any role to Ranbir and he will excel in it. He is, undoubtedly, one of the best actors we have in our industry today.
Vicky Kaushal
2018 has been a good year for Vicky. It started with the Netflix release, Love per Square Foot followed by Raazi, Lust Stories, Sanju and Manmarziyaan. The fan in us was happy to him multiple times this year and with each film, he proved that he can mold himself as per the requirement of the role. We’re waiting to see him as the army man in Uri which release in January.
Ayushmann Khurrana
One actor who has definitely had a good year at the movies is Ayushmann Khurrana. He had two back-to-back releases, first AndhaDhun and then Badhaai Ho and we loved him in both the roles. Which one was your favourite?
Sohum Shah
Tumbbad was the surprise element of Bollywood in 2018. Sohum, who is the lead in the period fantasy horror film was lauded for his role not only by the audience but also by the critics. Sohum stands out in the film and if you haven’t seen Tumbbad, make sure you do.
Rajkummar Rao
Rajkummar has grown so much as an actor over the year and we’re sure you all will agree with it. Every actor in Stree had a special place but it was Rajkummar who won our hearts.
Ranveer Singh
Ranveer is not loved by everyone without any reason. Besides being the ever-energetic person off-screen, he has also given us some fantastic performances in films which we will always remember. Take his role in Padmaavat for instance. Now if you go to see, we don’t think anyone but Ranveer could have played the role of Alauddin Khilji better.
Varun Dhawan
If you see Varun’s filmography, he has picked such diverse roles and managed to pleasantly surprise us. He has played the character of Dan in October with so much honestly that we could actually sympathies with him and also fall in love with him.
Ishaan Khatter
Ishaan has already had two release in 2018. He entered the world of movies with a powerful performance in Majid Majidi‘s Beyond The Clouds and we then saw him in Dhadak opposite debutante Janhvi Kapoor. Ishaan is a fantastic performer and has the potential to be one of the best actors in Bollywood.
