Yami Gautam
Yami Gautam

Yami Gautam‘s style file has always been fashion-forward yet so relatable. But our fashion radar was set on her the minute she transformed her hairstyle. This might have been specially done for her latest film,  URI: The Surgical Strike, but the overall look went perfectly well with her personality. We then knew that we’d witness many interesting things from this new look of hers.
Since it was just her mane that was new, we could easily see the slight change in her fashion persona too. An edgier style quotient was evidently visible from her promotional looks of Batti Gul Meter Chalu. The people behind this shift were celebrity stylists Mohit Rai and Aastha Sharma, who went with her new mane vibe. Here are ten photos from her promotional spree that prove you need to follow her fashion file ASAP:

1. In a statement pantsuit from Lavish Alice

Fashion Takeaway: A monochrome look in a subtle shade of lilac is always a winner but when it’s a statement pantsuit, it tops the fashion chart.

2. In a top from Madison & a skirt from Koovs

Fashion Takeaway: A red mini skirt will always ensure that all eyes are on you. Plus, if it’s paired with asymmetric style top, it serves as a uber-chic OOTD.

3. In a striped jumpsuit from Bloom

Fashion Takeaway: For an instant fashionable look, always rely on a jumpsuit. Bonus points for all the design details like the monochrome stripes, the halter neckline, and the layered style.

4. In a cocktail dress from ATSU

Fashion Takeaway: One off-shoulder stylish dress will ensure a fashionable entry but when played with contrasting colours, it looks on point. Yami’s this OOTD is a perfect mix of the two colours that are bang opposite on the colour wheel.

5. In a blazer dress from Emporio Armani

Fashion Takeaway: Note this down guys, the new ‘it’ silhouette on the block would be the blazer dress and Yami Gautam was one of the first few ones in Bollywood to give it a go.

6. In a jumpsuit from Zooomberg and blazer from Massimo Dutti

Fashion Takeaway: The military-esque colour story is a classic one and can’t be missed out on. But also note the way Yami sported the shrobing trend with the folded cuffs; a style trick that’ll make you look fashionable instantly.

7. In a co-ord set from Two Point Two

Fashion Takeaway: We might not go for a peach and yellow combo immediately, but this look proves that a colour gamble when done right pays off really well.

8. In an all-black look from FableStreet

Fashion Takeaway: One simply cannot ignore the combo of a trench coat and knee-high boots, especially when it’s an all-black look.

9. In a knitted cape designed by Nikita Mhaisalkar

Fashion Takeaway: Winters are for layers and when you have a stellar cape by your side then a good-looking OOTD is a no brainer.

10. In a long zippered tunic from Exhale and classic jeans from Forever 21

Fashion Takeaway: Here’s a white and jeans combo that might be basic yet looks so stylish because of the tunic’s silhouette.
