Kareena Kapoor Just Shared Her Summer Diet Plan & It Looks Quite Doable!

Kareena Kapoor Khan is one of the fittest actresses in the industry today. Her fitness journey after she had Taimur made her an inspiration to anyone who wanted to find excuses to skip the gym. Her Nawab husband, Saif Ali Khan and her son, Taimur Ali Khan have also been seen working out with her as a family. While we normally feel we can’t replicate what the stars eat on a daily basis because they just eat salads and fancy stuff, Bebo and Saif’s diet can be followed easily!

In a Facebook and Instagram live with Rujuta Diwekar, Kareena and Saif spoke about how they approached fitness and how important it is to eat healthy. Talking about her diet, Bebo mentions that she has everything that is seasonal and local – ranging from mangoes to dal chawal, nachni bhakri, jamuns and home-cooked sabjis. She also mentioned that she and Saif don’t shy away from having ghee and papad with their dal rice. To keep herself hydrated, she reveals that she has traditional drinks like kokum sherbet, lemongrass tea and nimbu pani. 

This is the Ghar-ka-khaana type of a diet that our mothers generally force us to eat. Now that Kareena Kapoor has endorsed it, I am sure everyone’s all ready to gorge on our mom’s bhakri and ghee-wala dal chawal. 

Apart from the diet, Saif and Kareena also spoke about how controlling portions of what they eat is really the secret to their fitness. They also agreed to the fact that for their diet and exercise to work on the body, a good amount of sleep is necessary to keep you fresh and happy.

These are some really great lessons learnt in eating and living healthy, and we now know that even the stars do find comfort in ghar ka dal chawal, don’t we!?
