Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra’s upcoming romantic comedy, Jabariya Jodi is all set to release very soon and the Jodi is out and about promoting the film in full swing! Sid and Pari have been travelling all over India and the fans of the Hasee Toh Phasee duo have received them with love and affection every time. They have travelled from Lucknow, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, Indore, Pune to Delhi. Might we say, it seems like they’ve had some really cool experiences in every place!
Given the songs of the film like ‘Khadke Glassy‘ have become such hits, the Jodi got the crowd grooving to the songs during their engagements.
Now, you travel to such culturally rich cities with great cuisine and don’t gorge on the yummy food. How is that even possible? Sidharth and Parineeti took some time out to enjoy the local food and visit the markets to engage with their fans. In Lucknow, the actors tried the famous lithi chokha, a local delicacy that they had also tried while the shooting of their film. While in Delhi, the duo went to Connaught Place to try the world-famous ‘Fire Paan‘. Interestingly, Sidharth plays Abhay Singh, the Baahubali of Bihar, in the film and he had to eat a lot of paan for his role!
Jabariya Jodi is set against the backdrop of ‘Pakadwa Shaadi’, a practice prevalent in Uttar Pradesh. The coolest thing during their promotions would be the fact that Sid and Pari got to meet with real-life Jabariya Grooms to know their stories and take on the issue. We are sure they would have been thrilled to hear about the film based on their lives!
The film is an entertaining take on ‘Pakadwah Shadi‘ and is a laugh riot, supported by the power-packed ensemble cast of Aparshakti Khurana, Javed Jaffrey, Sanjay Mishra, among others. Directed by Prashant Singh and produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms and Shaailesh R. Singh’s Karma Media and Entertainment, the film is all set to release on August 9th.
