Office Drawer

In this fast-paced world, our busy schedules don’t allow us to have a moment for ourselves. Before it’s even 10 AM we already have a hundred errands to tick off our to-do lists. Our thumbs type away endless important emails and our eyes are constantly glued to the screen. Hence, we tend to neglect taking care of ourselves while we’re at the office. I’m not saying that we need to treat ourselves to a mini spa sesh while we’re at work; having some self-care products stacked in your office drawer will do the trick. Hence, without any further ado, let’s talk about the six essential beauty products you should have stashed away in your office drawer:

1. Oil-Blotting Sheets

If you’re someone with oily skin then you’ll be familiar with the “afternoon sheen”. Whenever afternoon rolls in, my face is covered with a layer of oil. Leaving my desk and going to wash my face is not always an option, especially on a super busy day. Hence, having these handy oil-blotting sheets in my office drawer save my time (and my pores). All you have to do is take a couple of sheets, put them against your skin with some pressure. These sheets absorb any excess oil and the best part about it is that you can also use these over makeup.

2. Hydrating Face Mist

The next time when you’re tired and in need of a quick dose of refreshment, skip the coffee and grab a face mist instead. When you use a face mist with hydrating ingredients like hyaluronic acid, your skin will instantly feel refreshed. So stash a mini bottle of a face mist in your office drawers if you often find yourself needing a quick pick-me-up.

3. Hand Cream

I don’t know about you but my hands tend to get dry throughout the day. That’s why I keep a tube of hand cream in my office drawer. It may seem to be completely unnecessary but trust me when I say this, it makes a huge difference. Your hands will stay soft and moisturised. If you’re looking for a hand cream then my suggestion would be the one from Kama Ayurveda. It contains pure essential oils and other herbal extracts. Hence, along with moisture, you’ll also experience the benefits of aromatherapy.

4. Lip Balm

Lip balm is one product we all can’t do without! A little known fact about the skin on our lips is that it tends to get dry faster. Especially when we sit in air-conditioned rooms for the whole day, our skin tends to lose moisture. Hence, having a moisturising lip balm by your side will come in handy. Look out for lip balms with ingredients like shea butter, since they work wonders at keeping your lips moisturised.

5. Roll-On Perfume

Don’t you love it when you get a whiff of a fragrance and it reminds you of a phase in your life? This beauty product is not exactly essential, but it’s always nice to have your favourite perfume around. I keep a roll-on perfume bottle of my favourite fragrance in my office drawer and whenever I’m stressed, I dot some of it on my wrists and calm down instantly. Trust me it works, you should try it out for yourself.

6. Lip And Cheek Tint

Some days our stress and worries are clearly visible on our complexion. This can easily be fixed by adding some colour to your cheeks. Keep a lip and cheek tint in your office drawer because it’ll come in handy whenever you want to add a healthy flush of colour. My colleague uses the tint from Smashbox and I have to say that it has become one of my favourites. It has a buildable colour and looks very natural when it’s applied to the skin.
