Lotus Makeup India Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2020 has been all kinds of amazing till now. It started with a brilliant display of sustainable fashion and some uber-chic streetwear looks. However, day 3 of LMIFW SS’20 was all about grandeur and glamour. From bedazzled lehengas to bold block print sarees, we saw it all! What made it even better, is that we got to see some of our all-time favourite celebrities walk down the ramp in gorgeous designer creations. Here’s a look at them:
This collection showcased vibrant colours, tropical prints and kaleidoscopic embroidery. After having a look at some of Mahima’s stunning designs, Athiya Shetty walked the ramp in a shimmery tropical printed lehenga and choli.
The Red Phase is a collection inspired a woman’s menstrual cycle journey and it’s meant to empower women who have been period shamed in the past. I absolutely loved the concept of this show and the icing on the cake was the fact that Neha Dhupia was the show stopper for Nidhika Shekhar.
The world’s been impacted by our actions and we need to do something about it—this collection by Divya Reddy does just that. The word “aagami” means future and every embellishment in this collection represents the flora and fauna that is extinguishing. Hence this collection is a tribute to the environmental elements we have lost and it is brought to life to raise awareness. Isn’t this collection the perfect fusion of fashion and activism? Rakul Preet closed the show in this edgy ensemble that was adorned with embroidery and oodles of ruffles.
The Nejma collection by Bhumika Sharma was an absolute treat for the eyes. The looks were inspired by the tactile surfaces of Marrakesh and Casablanca and hence all the fabrics had bold block prints. The show stopper for this show was the gorgeous, Shobhita Dhulipala. She walked the ramp in a beautiful belted saree.
