Bollywood is going through the best phase currently. The content the industry is churning out has been brilliant and it surely has managed to garner praises for its transition. While content-driven films still manage to rock the ticket windows, another one is on the cards and it has got us really excited. As per reports in Midday, Katrina Kaif and Vidya Balan will be teaming up for the first time! So, cool right! While that itself is brilliant, the cherry on the cake is that the film will be an action-comedy. Yes, you heard us right!
The untitled project will be produced by Aanand L Rai and Anirudh Ganapathy will be making his directorial debut with this one.
A source told the tabloid,
He worked as an assistant director on Happy Bhag Jayegi and Zero. While shooting for Zero, he shared the idea of the film with Katrina, who agreed to be part of the project. Vidya Balan has also been approached for the second lead. The script is in the final stage, and if everything goes well Vidya and Katrina will share screen space for the first time.
While Vidya will be working with Rai for the first time, Katrina has already starred in Zero which was directed by him. While the film had managed to garner a lot of attention, it tanked at the box office.
Talking about the film’s debacle, Rai had said in an earlier interview,
I won’t say I am disappointed. I will need to understand (what went wrong). This is the story I wanted to say and I made it. After making Ranjhaanaa and Tanu Weds Manu and the second one, this film (Zero) was due for me to make. To take a certain flight and I have not landed on it properly.
Coming back to Vidya and Katrina, we for sure can’t wait for this to be officially announced!
