Bhumi Pednekar has always been an actress who never shies away from choosing challenging films and roles. Right from her first film, Dum Lagake Haisha, to her films like Toilet: Ek Prem Katha and Shubh Mangal Saavdahan, her films have always had a larger message. Now, we sure have noticed this pattern, but Kapil Sharma finally chose to ask her this question. She had quite a funny response to that!

Bhumi and her co-star Taapsee Pannu were on The Kapil Sharma Show to promote their latest film, Saand Ki Aankh, and in the course of their conversation, Kapil had a rather important question to ask Bhumi.

He asked:

Aapki har film mein na koi na koi problem hoti hai. Jaise Dum Laga Ke Haisha mein inko weight ka problem tha, Toilet (Ek Prem Katha) mein inko toilet ka problem tha, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan mein Ayushmann ko kuch medical ka problem tha. Ye bina problem wali film karne mein aapko kya problem hai? (Each of your films has some problem or the other. Dum Laga Ke Haisha dealt with weight issues, in Toilet (Ek Prem Katha) you had an issue because you didn’t have a proper toilet, in  Shubh Mangal Saavdhan Ayushmann had a medical problem. What is your problem with doing films that don’t have any problems?)

To this, Bhumi and Tapsee had a good laugh and then the Dum Laga Ke Haisha actress said that she thinks of herself as society’s very own doctor who is on a mission to address these issues.

Here’s what she said:

Main actually doctor hoon. Internally…main logon ki…main samaaj ki (doctor hoon).

To this, Kapil was quick to quip in, saying, “Aap seriously doctor hain? Mere na ek pimple ho raha hai…(You’re really a doctor? I actually have a pimple coming up…)”

Trust Kapil to be super smooth when it comes to his comebacks and dialogue-baazi, right?

Saand Ki Aankh is releasing this Friday and we sure can’t wait to see these two sharp-shooter women kill it in the film!
