Alia Bhatt and Shahid Kapoor starrer Shaandaar is one film that managed to create a lot of noise but failed to deliver. The film which was directed by Vikas Bahl was a dud at the ticket windows and the masses gave it a thumbs down. Now, in an interview with Vogue, Alia revealed that while she was heartbroken with the failure of the film, her father Mahesh Bhatt celebrated its failure. Yes, you read that right!
Alia was heartbroken that after back-to-back hits, Shaandaar was the first flop of her career but her father was happy and told her that, “the band-aid had been ripped off.”
Alia is currently shooting Sadak 2 with her dad along with Pooja Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt and Aditya Roy Kapur. After she completes this one, she will also star in SS Rajamouli‘s RRR which features South actors, Ram Charan and Jr. NTR. Bhatt also has Brahmastra and Sanjay Leela Bhansali‘s Gangubai Kathiawadi in her kitty and we are looking forward to all of them.
