Whether it was Wizards of Waverly Place or Another Cinderella Story, Selena Gomez was my favourite actress when I was in school. Not much has changed in the present day. Except now, instead of her Disney performances, I’m obsessed with her sense of style and makeup looks. Selena’s makeup looks are an eclectic mix of everyday classic and flat out glam. However, I have to say that they are all fierce! Recently, I came across her latest beauty look by her MUA Hung Vanngo, and I can’t stop thinking about it! This ’50s inspired makeup look immediately made me think of Marvelous Mrs Maisel, and I instantly started planning out all the makeup products I would need to recreate it. The Base:
Selena’s base was peachy, and it looked airbrushed, so stick to products that’ll make your skin look matte and a blush with a warm undertone. Here’s how you can recreate the base:
- Start by prepping your face with a hydrating primer.
- After you’ve applied your primer, dab on some matte-finish foundation and blend it out.
- Fill in your brows and blend it upwards for that bold bow look.
- Set your makeup with a hydrating setting powder.
- Apply a peachy blush to the apples of your cheeks.

The Eyes:
The focus of Selena’s makeup look was her sharp AF winged eyeliner. So we’re going to keep the eyeshadow minimal and concentrate on the winged eyeliner.
- Start by curling your lashes and apply a warm peachy (or light brown) eyeshadow to your eyelids.
- Apply winged eyeliner and don’t hold back on the length of the wing.
- Apply a few coats of mascara to your lashes.

The Lips:
Selena’s lipstick was muted and in a shade of pinkish-nude. So select a shade similar to that you’re done!
