The coronavirus pandemic seems fine having far-reaching repercussions that we never thought possible. It has bought the Indian entertainment industry to a standstill as well. The Indian film industry is an industry that produces the maximum number of movies in the whole world. With many production houses shutting offices due to the Covid-19 scare, many production houses are also rethinking projects that are already announced.

Two of the most awaited projects in Dharma Productions 2020-21 calendar year might get stalled or called off completely according to a report in Bollywood Hungama. The first one might be Takht, which was announced to much fanfare and anticipation with a stellar star cast to boast. Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Bhumi Pednekar, Jahnavi Kapoor and Anil Kapoor were part of this period drama that was to be directed by Karan Johar. But unfortunately with the controversies surrounding the content and the scriptwriter of the movie recently falling in trouble due to being accused of putting up a communal tweet and now with the global pandemic, it looks like this project will get further stalled.

Dharma productions having temporarily closed, is also thinking of rethinking some of its projects like Dostana 2. But no official statement or confirmation has been given for the same. We hope both these projects mentioned come to its fruition whenever it’s deemed fit.
