The COVID-19 pandemic has caused the whole world to come to a standstill. Everyone is practising social distancing and taking all the necessary precautionary measures in order to flatten the curve. Some of you might think it is a struggle to stay at home continuously. However, what we don’t give enough thought to is the people who are on their toes and on the streets helping communities and fighting this virus, day in and day out.
These people are none other than our healthcare workers, who are putting the lives of their countrymen ahead of theirs. We all know how fast the Coronavirus has been spreading, but our doctors, nurses, and the medical staff have left no stone unturned to do their best. It’s time to honour our real heroes. Tide India, with their humble initiative, are thanking and supporting our #AngelsInWhite and through this short film are expressing their gratitude.
Doctors and medical professionals take oaths to do no harm and work to cure, and in this period since the outbreak in December 2019, many of them have even lost their lives. As a small token, Tide in partnership with Doctors For You and Apollo Hospitals is providing free detergent for their needs. The #AngelsInWhite are the frontline soldiers who are redefining the values we know them for—care, courage, sacrifice, and hope. Being on the frontline also means that you cannot be with your family, you are susceptible to more risk than most and you don’t have the luxury of stepping back when duty calls.

Yesterday I felt bad for my patients in ER when I would come in the room with my face covered in PPE. A reassuring smile makes a big difference to a scared patient. So today I made a giant laminated badge for my PPE. So my patients can see a reassuring and comforting smile #respiratorytherapist #respiratorycarepractitioner #covid_19 #ppe #sandiego #california #pandemic #hospital #rcp #hospitallife #stayhomesavelives #healthcareheroes #frontliners
A small token of kindness such as this can have such a large impact. Let’s hope to see more people step forward and help all the COVID-19 workers.
