Siddhant Chaturvedi rose to fame as the dynamic and loveable MC Sher from Zoya Akhtar‘s Gully Boy. His buffed up physique was balanced out by his large and virtuous heart; as he made this powerful character his own. Now, it’s always great to know what went through an actor’s mind while shooting for such a role, no? Zoya and Reema Katgi‘s Tiger Baby Films’ Instagram handle gives us a glimpse into that.

Tiger Baby Films’ series, ‘Off The Record‘ has one of the best actors recount their experiences of shooting some rather iconic scenes in their films. Siddhant speaks about his experience shooting the absolutely power-packed entry scene of MC Sher. He had to bring the largeness of his character on screen, for Ranveer Singh‘s character Murad to be awe-struck by him. He is someone who is aggressive but has his values in place. He channels that aggression though rap, which is a more powerful tool for him than violence. He credits Zoya for carving a Sher out of a ‘lanky lad’ and building such a loveable character.

Loved how he said he didn’t like ‘Sher Aaya Sher‘ the first time he heard it! Now, it is iconic and one of my faves for sure.

Not just Siddhant, but a lot of actors like Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh have recounted their favourite film sequences and it’s one interesting series from Tiger Baby Films!
