Karan Patel who has been a known face in the Television industry for years, gained more popularity when he played Raman Bhalla in Star Plus show Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. After having successfully played the character for 6 years, his fans were eager to see what he would do next. While he was part of Khatron Ke Khiladi 10, we were waiting for him to come back on screen in a fiction show. And lo behold, he was cast in Ekta Kapoor‘s most popular TV show in recent times Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 as Mr. Bajaj. For those unaware, he replaced Karan Singh Grover as KSG wasn’t comfortable shooting in such times when the number of COVID positive cases were increasing. Looks like KSG made the right decision for now.

Unfortunately, the main lead of the show Parth Samthaan who plays Anurag Basu has been tested positive. The shooting has currently been halted and other cast and crew members have also been asked to get tested. In a statement given by Karan’s spokesperson to Pinkvilla, it was revealed that Karan Patel hadn’t been shooting for the past few days but being a responsible citizen it is only fair that he goes and gets tested. Karan will be going and getting a swab test done just to ensure the safety of those around him. The statement made it clear that this was just a precautionary measure and asked everyone to stay calm and not panic.

We understand Karan’s concern for those around, especially because he has a newborn daughter and a nursing wife at home.

Meanwhile, Parth who tested positive for COVID-19 had taken to his Instagram to inform everyone about his results and asked whoever was in close proximity of him to get tested even though he only had mild symptoms. The actor is currently in self-quarantine at his home.

Take a look at his post:

We wish Parth a speedy recovery and that Karan’s precautionary test also comes out negative so he can be at ease.
