As the resumption of shooting started post lockdown, new episodes of TV shows started airing again on the television. One of the shows that also resumed shooting is Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. And now according to Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) ratings, the show which completed 12 years on Tuesday, emerged to be the most-watched show on the television. It secured the first place on the TRP chart.
Recently to mark the 12th anniversary of the show actor Dilip Joshi who plays the iconic character of Jethalal Gada took to his newly made Instagram handle to thank his fans and everybody involved in the show.
Recently in an interview with ETimes, Dilip revealed that they have changed the entire process of shooting post lockdown. Talking about it he was quoted saying—
In fact, when we first started shooting post the lockdown for the first two days we felt as if we were shooting in a hospital as there was a strong smell of sanitizers around, everyone was wearing masks. We wondered how to do comedy. But I feel the situation is such that we can’t do anything and we have to adapt to it. We try our level best that all this shouldn’t harm the work and people should get entertained like before.
In terms of the TRP list, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah was followed by the new daily soap Anupamaa. While Kundali Bhagya slipped to the third spot.
Going back to the good news, this week has surely been a double delight for the cast and makers of TMKOC.
