Actor Sanjay Dutt was admitted to the ICU after he complained of breathing issues on Saturday. But the hospital authorities informed that he had tested negative for COVID-19, and that he would be discharged after a few tests.

After he was back home on Monday, Sanjay took to his social media yesterday to inform everyone that he is taking a “short break from work for a few days to undergo medical treatments”. Soon after this announcement, film trade analyst, Komal Nahta, informed through his tweet that Sanjay had been diagnosed with lung cancer.

The journalist also tweeted, “Not the new dreaded ‘C’ (Coronavirus), it’s the other dreaded ‘C’, Cancer, that Sanjay Dutt has been diagnosed with. While praying for his speedy recovery.”

In his blog link shared with the tweet, he said that there is talk of Sanjay flying to the US immediately to undergo the necessary treatments. He is currently in Mumbai, while his twin children and wife Maanayata Dutt are stuck in Dubai owing to the COVID-19 induced lockdown.

On the professional front, there was news that owing to the actor’s break from work, his patchwork shoot for YRF’s, Shamshera will be deferred. He will be seen in Mahesh Bhatt‘s Sadak 2 next, along with the multi-lingual, KGF: Chapter 2. He revealed his look from the film on his birthday a few days ago.

We wish the actor and his family all the strength and pray for his speedy recovery.
