Ekta Kapoor took to her Instagram to announce that she will be disassociating herself from Pavitra Rishta Fund that was set up in association with Zee TV to spread awareness about mental health in the light of Sushant Singh Rajput‘s death.

But today, with the Supreme Court ordering CBI to take over Sushant’s death, Ekta took to her social media handles to announce that she will be disassociating herself from the initiative even though she supports awareness on mental health separately. In her note, she said that she was doing this as it seems that there is more to Sushant’s death than what meets the eye. She also hoped for the truth to prevail.

Take a look at her post:

The Pavitra Rishta Fund derived its name from Ekta’s TV series that shot Sushant to fame. Ekta was also receiving severe backlash for supporting this fund that suggested the theory that it was because Sushant was depressed that he decided to take his life. Sushant’s brother-in-law had also put out a strong message against those who were using Sushant as a poster boy of depression. Having removed herself from the initiative, she said that she will stand with Zee for any other fund they start on mental awareness.
