Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan gave us some great news earlier this month when they announced they were all set to welcome their second child. Now, there is another very exciting announcement coming from Saif’s end, and it is that he is all set to turn author and pen his autobiography!

Saif, as we know, has been a part of the film industry for more than two decades now. He has built his own league of experimental and critically acclaimed cinema. He has a range like no other, from doing the urban chocolate boy in Dil Chahata Hai and Hum Tum to perfection and moving on to play intense characters like the troubled police officer in Sacred Games or the heartless villain in Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. Apart from the failures and success in his films, he has also had a very celebrated life as the Nawab of Pataudi, to being father to Sara Ali Khan, Ibrahim Ali khan and now, Taimur Ali Khan! Now, he is all ready to document it all in this time at home.

Harper Collins is publishing his autobiography and it will be out next year.

Speaking about it, Saif says:

So many things have changed and will be lost with time if we don’t record them. It would be nice to look back; to remember and to record. It has been funny and moving, and I must say, this is quite a selfish endeavour. I do hope others enjoy the book, too, of course!

Saif has normally been a private person and is not one to stay a lot in the limelight, but whatever we have seen of him, he is all things fun, well-read, practical and reflective! So this book is our free pass into learning more about that person, about his life, home, influences and inspirations — told in signature Saif Ali Khan style and laced with wit and humour.

Bushra Ahmed, the Commissioning Editor of Harper Collins says:

In today’s age, Khan is one of those rare stars, reticent, well-read and erudite; perhaps the last of his tribe. I have always loved watching his movies and his interviews are such a treasure trove of reflection on life and living. I am absolutely thrilled that his debut book has come to HarperCollins! This book is going to be that perfect memoir which is reflective, cheeky, and fun, just like Khan is.

I sure am super excited about this and cannot wait to read this book already! What about you guys?
