Various reports in the past few days have suggested that Aamir Khan‘s son Junaid Khan will soon be making his acting debut. But turns out this is not true. While Junaid is going for auditions on his own, he has not bagged any role as of yet. And he most certainly do not want to use his father Aamir’s influence to get a role either. Lately, there have been reports across the Internet that suggested Junaid Khan will be making his Bollywood debut with the Hindi remake of the Malayalam film Ishq which will be produced by Director Neeraj Pandey.

Rubbishing these claims , a source shared:

Junaid is not making his film debut in the Hindi remake of Malayalam film, Ishq. He had auditioned for this role but did not get it. He has been meeting a lot of casting directors, figuring opportunities on his own and giving film auditions since some time now, while continuing to act in theatre. Junaid is doing whatever he can on his own and he doesn’t want any help from Aamir Khan.

Another report after these rumours also suggested that Bandish Bandits star Ritwick Bhowmik had bagged the lead role in the Hindi remake of Ishq

In the past, Junaid was part of the TV show Masterminds and he also played assistant director to Rajkumar Hirani for the film PK.

Looks like we will have to wait a little longer to see Junaid on the big screen.
