If there’s one thing that’s super certain in these uncertain times, it is that Vikrant Massey is on a roll when it comes to signing on films. Yes, just yesterday we told you about how he is set to start shoot for the film, 14 Phere, alongside Kriti Kharbanda from November 10th. Now, a report in Mumbai Mirror states that he has been signed on to star alongside Sanya Malhotra in Shanker Raman‘s upcoming film.
Shanker Raman is a National Award-winning cinematographer and director who is known for his critically acclaimed noir film, Gurgaon. A source close to the film tells the publication that the script of the upcoming film demanded a fresh, young pairing and both Vikrant and Sanya were on board the project as soon as they heard the story. The source also shares that it’s going to be a completely new space for both the actors as well, and that they will attend a lot of workshops as part of the prep for the film. The filming is set to begin in early 2021.
On the work front, Sanya will next be seen in Anurag Basu‘s Ludo, this Diwali. She also has the Umesh Bist directorial, Pagglait, in the pipeline. As for Vikrant, he is currently wrapping up Haseen Dilruba opposite Taapsee Pannu post which he will begin shoot for 14 Phere.
Coming back to Shanker Raman’s film, I sure can’t wait to see Vikrant and Sanya together and to see this film unfold!
