The passing of actor Irrfan Khan has left a gaping void in the hearts of millions of his fans. In these times, it has been his family who have been sharing some lovely moments and beautiful messages remembering him and his life. His son, Babil Khan has been sharing some lovely pictures and messages about his father in the past few months and it’s nothing short of a bittersweet experience going through it.
Just today, he shared a poem in his father’s memory and shared a lovely picture of his parents — Irfan and Sutapa Sikdar — embracing each other as they posed together.
He wrote:
It’s true, time does indeed slow down in the spaces between your breaths.
And once you’ve dreamed of more, how could you settle for less.
Perhaps, it was over because you knew.
Or perhaps, because I grew.
But the sky isn’t so blue,
When the sun is setting over you.

He had recently shared a picture of him along with his father and said that it was taken when Irrfan saw him perform on stage for the first time. It sure must have been quite a moment, no?

Babil flew down to India from the UK, where he is studying filmmaking, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He was here when Irrfan passed away in March. As the situation now is slightly stable, he has flown back to the UK to resume his studies now.
