Rakulpreet Singh was among the many people in the Hindi film industry who have resumed work on their projects post months of the nationwide lockdown owing to COVID-19. Rakulpreet Singh was one of those actors who began shooting for her upcoming film, Mayday. But while the production houses and the cast and crew are taking the much-needed precautions, the virus unfortunately finds a way in at times.
Rakulpreet took to her social media today to share the news with her fans and followers. She said that she has unfortunately tested positive for the virus and has quarantined herself. In her post, she said, “I’d like to inform everyone that I have tested positive for COVID-19. I have quarantined myself. I am feeling fine and will rest up well so that I can be back at shoot soon.” To ensure the safety of everyone she had been in contact with for the past few days, she also added, “Request everyone who met me to kindly get yourself tested. Thank you and please stay safe.”

Rakul’s next, Mayday, will see her playing a pilot alongside Ajay Devgn, Angira Dhar and the legendary Amitabh Bachchan. The film is release on April 29th, 2022. Apart from this, Rakul also has an untitled cross-border love story co-starring Arjun Kapoor in the lead role. It also features John Abraham and Aditi Rao Hydari in pivotal roles.
