Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli are soon going to parents and are all about enjoying this wonderful phase of their life right now. Transitioning into parenthood is sure super grateful and exciting, but it also comes with its set of responsibilities. And seems like this couple have thought it all the way through.
In a recent interview with Vogue India, Anushka opened up about how she and Virat have thought about the kind of parents they want to be and what values they want to instil in their child. She says that the most important lesson she would like to impart to her child will be to respect everyone.
Here’s what she told the publication:
There are so many similarities in the way we are as people and the way we approach life. So I do think that will work for us. I’ve been thinking about it before I even became a parent. Conditioning is the most important role in how we see the world. I come from a progressive background, so that will always be a part of our home. Love is the underlying factor in our home, and what’s important to us is that our child be respectful of people. You have to create that value structure. We don’t want to raise brats.
And being the power couple they are, they sure are going to have a lot of media attention on their child, Much like how Taimur Ali Khan has been covered in social media. When asked about how she is going to handle all the attention, Anushka says that both she and Virat have thought about it a lot.
She adds:
We’ve thought about it a lot. We definitely do not want to raise a child in the public eye—we don’t plan on engaging our child in social media. I think it’s a decision your child should be able to take. No kid should be made to be more special than the other. It’s hard enough for adults to deal with it. It’s going to be difficult, but we intend to follow through.
The to-be-momma is all about the pregnancy glow as she posed for an absolutely stunning photoshoot for Vogue. Her colleagues from the industry, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone among others, showered her with love and compliments, calling her a ‘Stunner’, which she truly is!
