Bollywood’s Tryst With Sweat Sets Is One To Take A Note Of

Sakshi Kore

Fashion was notoriously known for never being comfortable but modern times and latest fads have contrasted this notion time and again. The pandemic further laid emphasis on this equation, that, guaranteed, everyone can get on board with. Given this situation, naturally, sweats and tracksuits gained far more prominence in 2020 and have continued to be a popular choice of clothing even in 2021, thanks to their superior comfort and fashion-forward appeal. Bollywood stars have further shed light on how they’re perfect for a series of events and a host of moods; just switch up the styles and colours to suit the occasion. Take these 5 celebrities as examples, who gave this versatile sartorial combo a major nod of approval through most of last week, and stock up on quirky tracksuits if you haven’t already!

1. Deepika Padukone

Oversized ensembles with maximum comfort have been winning Deepika’s vote for some time now. Only last week, the actor was spotted at the airport in a pastel-hued tie and dye tracksuit for her flight out of Bombay. She teamed the set with black and white Nike shoes, a tan bag, an ivory mask and clear sunglasses. On another occasion in the city, Deepika was photographed in an oversized pastel blue set with white sneakers and a black tote bag.

2. Nora Fatehi

Nora has established her love for elegant athleisure on several occasions. She’s also made it abundantly clear that her style sensibilities are as chic as they can get! Don’t believe us? Scroll ahead for a quick glance at one of her latest outfits. The actor and dancer was spotted wearing a Christian Dior monochrome houndstooth co-ord set comprising a sweatshirt and bum shorts for a work meeting. Luxurious for sure, but a set like hers would be perfect for a casual dinner or even as loungewear, no? She completed her look with black pumps that added a touch of elegance to her look.

3. Kiara Advani

If you haven’t already noticed, Kiara has been crushing hard on sweat-sets and tie and dye for a while now. The actor has been spotted out and about in the city sporting the two trends either separately or sometimes together, on a number of occasions. Around this time, for a quick work trip in the city, Kiara went all out on colour in her outfit. She wore a multihued, tie and dye tracksuit that came dipped in poppy shades like bubblegum pink, sky blue, canary yellow and pale orange. Her favourite pair of dad shoes in a glossy pink hue rounded off her look for the day.

4. Parineeti Chopra

Parineeti was seen flying out of Bombay in a pristine all-white look, and while she didn’t exactly wear a sweat-set, she did give a sweatshirt a spot in her outfit. She wore a cropped, round-neck sweater with a crinkly texture, with a pair of white narrow-bottom trousers. She rounded off her look with a black and white bag back featuring a luxe quilted texture, white sneakers, black sunglasses and the non-negotiable accessory of the day—a white mask.

5. Huma Qureshi

Did we mention the endless amount of love that tie and dye has been receiving circa 2020? Yes? But, here’s another example, anyway. Huma, in an earthy-toned tracksuit while on her way to a salon appointment. Like most of them, the actor also picked white sneakers to complete her look, because there’s no footwear quite like white shoes. Correct me if I’m wrong! A quirky black Karl Lagerfeld tote bag with a caricature of the late designer, a black mask and black sunnies rounded off her look.
