Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan are all set to welcome their second child together. The couple announced the news last year.
The lockdown sure came as a blessing them as it gave both of them enough time with each other and Saif could be with Kareena through her pregnancy. Even now, he is set to take a paternity break after the birth of the child in order to stay by his wife’s side.
Speaking about it in an interview with Elle magazine, Saif shared that he would not like to work when there is a newborn at home. He says that it is important to be there and see your children growing up, and that it’s a mistake if you don’t. But he also goes on to add that he is in a ‘privileged position’ that he can take a break from his work as an actor, and not everyone who do a 9-5 job can do it.
Saif even shared that taking a break from work for an actor like himself is important as their profession can be ‘all-consuming’ and that taking a break to experience new things and to rejuvenate is important.
News is that Kareena is set to give birth sometime around next week and we are super excited for baby Khan! Saif will take a month’s break post the delivery and will then shoot for Om Raut‘s Adipurush alongside Prabhas. He also has Bhoot Police alongside Arjun Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandes and Yami Gautam.
