Just yesterday, there was news of two people testing positive for the novel Coronavirus. The first one was actor Ranbir Kapoor, whose mother Neetu Kapoor confirmed the news on social media. And the other person was director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who tested positive on the sets of his film, Gangubai Kathiawadi.

While both of them are under treatment and quarantining at home, another person who got herself tested was Alia Bhatt. Alia was in close proximity to her Gangubai Kathiawadi director as well as to her boyfriend, Ranbir, so it was pertinent that she get tested. Thankfully, she tested negative for COVID-19.

According to an article by ETimes, Alia has been taking the test almost everyday because she has been working, and she tested negative even yesterday. But she still chose to isolate herself just as a precautionary measure.

On the work front, Alia is going to be seen next in Gangubai Kathiawadi. The teaser of the film came out recently and Alia has been receiving a lot of love for her role already. Though she has wrapped up the shoot, the makers are yet to complete shooting portions of the film, which is all set to release on July 30, 2021. She also has Ayan Mukerji‘s Brahmastra alongside Ranbir, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy.

The actress also recently announced her production house named Eternal Sunshine Productions and shared news about her first project titled ‘Darlings’ that is set to be a dark comedy produced in collaboration with Shah Rukh Khan‘s Red Chillies Entertainment.
