My 3 Best-Loved Perfumes That Attract The Most Compliments

Kanak Devnani

I’ll be honest I’m not the biggest fragrance snob and I’m not very experimental either. More often than not I go with my gut and what feels right or in this case what scent calls to me in that particular moment. Perfume shopping can be overwhelming so I rarely if ever try different scents and if something’s working I stick with them and include them in my permanent rotation.

Like many others, I do believe the kind of perfume that you wear can say a lot about you. It’s natural for a scent to subconsciously make the first impression as you walk into a room. They can smell you before they even talk to you or see you and vice versa. So of course wearing the right perfume for the occasion is so important but also very personal. In fact, if you look back at your collection over the years you can see how it reflected what phase you were going through or simply what mood you were in.

With that said over the years, I’ve narrowed down my collection to a handful of my favourites. While I do take into consideration reviews and recommendations, if I love a scent, I’ll wear it regardless of what anyone else thinks. My current favs are classics that have never steered me wrong to date and get me the most compliments. So if you’re looking for some for new scents to try here the 3 best-loved fragrances I highly recommend:

1. Giorgio Armani, Si Eau De Parfum

The best way to describe this scent would be sweet yet sexy. The combination of notes such as musky blackcurrant rose and white cedarwood with a gentle touch is enough to entice those around. While mandarin and vanilla notes remain on your skin, making it irresistible. The best part about this scent? The versatility makes it wearable during the day and night but I like to save it for special occasions or date nights.

2. Marc Jacobs, Daisy Dreams

If fresh and happy needed to be described through perfume, Daisy Dreams by Marc Jacobs would be the obvious choice. This fruity and floral scent is filled with notes of jasmine, blue wisteria, blackberry, pear and grapefruit along with some refreshing coconut water and a touch of white woods and musk. This is my go-to perfume throughout the week especially during the day when I need something light but not too sweet or overpowering. The phrase fresh as a daisy is literally the best way to describe it. A friend even once told me; it’s like you smell happy! What makes it even more attractive is the super cute sky-blue bottle decorated with daises that looks adorable on my dresser.

3.Gucci, Guilty Eau

I remember first getting this as a gift and was very hesitant to try. Initially, I thought it might not be my vibe it but it completely surprised me and totally grew on me. Now I get tons of compliments whenever I wear this out. The scent revolves around the signature fougère accord of geranium with a seamless blend of mandarin and blossoms with spicy and warm notes. Delicate with a luxurious feel it has a hint of muskiness and it lasts all day without being overpowering. Feels feminine without being too sweet or too floral-esque.
