Ranbir Kapoor & Rajkumar Hirani are surely a winning duo who gave us Sanju, which won over the box office and the audiences in 2018. While fans were waiting for them to collaborate yet again, looks like we have some exciting news!
While previous reports suggested that the duo are coming together for the sequel of Hirani’s PK. According to a report on Pinkvilla, Hirani is reportedly going to collaborate with Ranbir yet again, but on a fresh, original script.
A source tells the publication that Mr. Hirani narrated the plot to Ranbir while they were making Sanju, and he fell in love with it. They were supposed to start work on that project soon after, but the director had to take up his immigration based social-comedy with Shah Rukh Khan after as SRK’s schedule got preponed.
The source adds that right now, the film is in its development stages, and that it is also going to be set in the social-comedy space.
Apart from this, Ranbir also has a lot of projects lined up ahead of him. He has Ayan Mukerji‘s Brahmastra alongside Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan. He then has Yash Raj Films’ Shamshera’, which also stars Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor. He has also been shooting for Luv Ranjan’s next alongside Shraddha Kapoor, Boney Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia. Ranbir is also set to collaborate with Kabir Singh director, Sandeep Reddy Vanga in the film, Animal, that will see him alongside Parineeti Chopra.
Coming back to this Rajkumar Hirani project, I sure am super excited for this and can’t wait to know more about this collaboration!
