Marvel Studios is all set to launch an original series on Disney Plus titled ‘Secret invasion‘ that is going to star Emilia Clarke in a pivotal role. Variety magazine broke the news stating that the ‘Game Of Thrones’ actress’ role is under wraps for now.
This will be the first time that Emilia will step into the Marvel universe. The series is also set to star Samuel L Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Kingsley Ben-Adir, and Olivia Colman. The report in the magazine states that while Jackson will reprise his role as Nick Fury from the MCU, Mendelsohn will continue playing Skrull Talos as he did in ‘Captain Marvel’. Ben Adir will essay the role of the main villain in this plot, which will follow a group of shape shifting aliens who have been infiltrating Earth for years. The project was announced last year as part of their many new titles planned especially for Disney Plus.
‘Secret Invasion’ is set to have Kyle Bradstreet writing it and coming on board as the executive producer. It will be produced by Kevin Feige’s unit, who have produced other Marvel original series for Disney Plus like ‘Wandavision’ and ‘Falcon and the Winter Soldier’.
On the work front, apart from ‘Secret Invasion‘, Emilia is also set to voice a role in the upcoming animated film, ‘The Amazing Maurice’. I sure cannot wait to see her enter the Marvel Universe and join the super cool cast! What about you guys?
