The second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic took the country by surprise. The virus is spreading faster than ever and several parts of the country are under lockdown again. On one hand, the Healthcare system is falling down and on the other hand, people’s cry for help is amplifying with every passing minute. Bollywood celebrities like Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Alia Bhatt, and many others also stepped up to use their platform and voice to amplify the needs of millions.

Ajay Devgn joined hands with Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and made a significant donation of  Rs. 1 crore to help set up a 20-bed Covid ICU. This makeshift hospital has been erected at the Bharat Scouts and Guides Hall, located in Mumbai’s Shivaji Park area. This Covid ICU is well equipped with para-monitors, ventilators, oxygen support, and it is managed by doctors of the P D Hinduja Hospital. Local corporator Vishakha Raut confirmed that Ajay Devgn supported them in putting together the temporary ICU and appreciated this gesture.

On the work front, Ajay Devgn was last seen Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior. His next release will be on Disney+ Hotstar, the war drama, Bhuj – The Pride Of India, and is expected to release on Independence Day 2021.
