Dinesh Vijan gave us films like Stree, Luka Chuppi, Bala, and Hindi Medium which managed to win our hearts and entice our minds. The producer recently gained the acquisition of the rights to make a film based on author Anuja Chauhan’s latest bestselling murder mystery rom-com novel, Club You to Death.
The film will introduce us to a character named ACP Bhavani Singh who along with his deputies, the on-off lovers- Kashi and Bambi is all set to solve a murder mystery case that’s inflicting terror upon the people of New Delhi. The strength of Anuja’s writing has always been her swooning love stories twined with an unusual twist. Some of her other bestsellers are Zoya Factor, Battle for Bittora, and Baaz. Dinesh Vijan’s production house, Maddock films took to social media to announce the news.

When asked about his views on the novel, Dinesh says-
The story is very entertaining, funny, and deliciously twisted. It offered me a great opportunity to set it in modern-day India and turn the lens on ourselves and our society a little bit. What really attracted me was that even while dealing with a real-world murder, Anuja managed to have her trademark humor and romance at its heart.
When asked about her views on the movie, author Anuja says-
I Am so happy to share that after a pretty hectic swayamvar involving various leading studios, audio-visual rights to my sixth novel Club You To Death have been obtained by Maddock films. I have been a huge fan of their work for a long time now and feel their sensibilities fit CYTD perfectly.
As per sources, Vijan’s idea is to turn this film into a murder mystery franchise. The details haven’t been revealed yet but we can’t wait to experience the thrill and magic of this murder mystery film on our screens!
