I have always loved Kareena Kapoor Khan for her sass. And it looks even better when Bebo is dealing with her detractors. Being one of the top actresses in Bollywood, she has many who are ready to scrutinize her but being the amazing ‘Pooh’ that she is, Kareena doesn’t give a damn. Recently, the actress also opened up about the trolling she faced over the fee hike controversy.
For those who don’t know, sometime back a Bollywood Hungama report had stated that the Veere Di Wedding actress had demanded a whopping Rs 12 crores for playing the role of Sita in a mythological drama. And her this demand had left the makers to reconsider their decision of casting her. It was around this that Bebo was also severely trolled on social media.
Reportedly, this was supposed to be the biggest film of Kareena’s career and she had to undergo preparations for it for almost 8-10 months. Now Kareena has spoken about it in an interview with The Guardian. She said,
Just a few years ago, no one would talk about a man or woman actually getting equal pay in a movie. Now there are a lot of us being very vocal about it. I make it quite clear what I want and I think that respect should be given. It’s not about being demanding, it’s about being respectful towards women. And I think things are kind of changing.
Isn’t Bebo’s response quite badass? Well, that’s what I like her for. Workwise Kareena is currently prepping for Laal Singh Chaddha with Aamir Khan. The two were seen prepping for it in Mumbai yesterday and I am sure, like always, Kareena will give her best to this role too. The film is slated to release around Christmas this year.
