The professional equation of Salman Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala goes way back. The duo has collaborated on Jeet, Judwaa, Har Dil Jo Pyaar Karega, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi and Jaan-E-Mann, and the actor was even the lead in Sajid’s debut directorial Kick. Theirs is a friendship that I really admire as it goes beyond the confinement of professional boundaries. The duo is again collaborating for Farhad Samji-directed action comedy, and now there is an exciting update on the same.

According to a report in Pinkvilla, Sajid has been able to bring in one of the biggest South superstars, Venkatesh, on board for the film and it will mark his return to Bollywood after 25 years. At a recent event in Hyderabad, Salman had confirmed collaborating with Venkatesh on a project and seems like the project in question was this only.

A source said:

“Yes, Venkatesh will be a part of this film and he is all ready to get back to Bollywood after a long time. He will be playing a parallel lead alongside Salman Khan and all the stakeholders are excited to see the two giants share screen space for the first time.”

The film, which also features Pooja Hegde as the female lead opposite Salman, is currently in the casting stage and is expected to go on the floors early next year. The film will reportedly have an ensemble cast with a blend of actors from the Hindi and the South industry.

The source added:

“That’s not all, Sajid and Salman are looking to cast a big name from the Southern industry to come on board as Venkatesh’s romantic interest.”

In the recent years, many South actors have made a transition to the Hindi film industry and have tasted success like Samantha Ruth Prabhu, and a lot more are going to be doing that in the coming years, including Vijay Deverakonda, Rashmika Mandanna and Adivi Sesh. The merging of industries and talent is what actually increases my love for cinema as it proves that there are no barriers in art. With the return of Venkatesh on Hindi screens, I am really looking forward to witness the on-screen banter between him and Salman.
