Miss Universe 1994, the very gorgeous Sushmita Sen, is not only a talented actress, but also an amazing mother. The actress has two daughters, Reene and Alisah, and they make for her personal cheerleaders. In 2020, Sushmita made her OTT debut with the web series Aarya, that got her some rave reviews from all around, and today the second season of the show started streaming. Recently, in a candid chat with ETimes, the actress talked about her daughters’ reaction to her reel life.
Sushmita narrated that her elder daughter, Reene, had seen her on film sets in her childhood, so after knowing that she is doing Aarya, Reene was happy that her mother is doing what she was born to do. However, the experience wasn’t the same with her younger daughter. The actress shared that Alisah hadn’t seen her mum perform much, thus, as she was growing up, she used to ask her “Why do people click photos of you?”.
The actress revealed that it was an experience of its own explaining Alisah that she is an actress and has been a Miss Universe. When she told her that, her younger daughter reacted to it saying that Miss Universe is old news, and she doesn’t act anymore, so why do people still wanted to click photos with her, and that left Sushmita speechless. But when Alisah watched Sushmita in Aarya she appreciated her and called her “a very good actress”, which the actress considers like a first medal for her.
This incident really did bring a smile to my face and I totally agree with Alisah here that Sushmita is indeed a great actress. In Aarya, Sushmita played the titular character who is a bold, brave and courageous woman, ready to go to any lengths to protect her family. The season 2 continues with her journey, and this Ram Madhvani creation also features Sikandar Kher, Virti Vaghani, Vikas Kumar, Viren Vazirani and Maya Sarao.
