Ever since Salman Khan announced on his show Bigg Boss that he will be a part of Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathan, I was excited for the two superstars to reunite once again on the big screen. The last time these two appeared together on the screen was in the 2018 film Zero, and before that they had done a couple of successful films together, the most popular ones being Karan Arjun and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. While the reports suggest that it will be a crossover of Tiger and Pathan in the Yash Raj Film’s spy universe, it seems like it’s happening the other way around first.
According to a report in Mid-Day, SRK began shooting for a special appearance in Salman’s Tiger 3 on Thursday, where he will appear as a Research & Analysis Wing (RAW) officer, who will be joining forces with Salman’s RAW agent Tiger.
A source revealed:
“It will be a 12-day schedule at Yash Raj Studios in Andheri. While Salman will not join him in this stint, the two actors will share the frame at some point for the combination scenes of Tiger 3. After Shah Rukh wraps up his portions, he will fly out for the foreign schedule of Pathan, where a romantic song with leading lady Deepika Padukone and some action scenes will be canned.”
The source added:
“In October, Shah Rukh was slated to lead a 10-day shoot at a south Mumbai hospital for Atlee’s film before flying off to Spain… Now, he is picking up where he left off. After Shah Rukh’s shoot and the Delhi schedule with Salman and Katrina Kaif in mid-January, Tiger 3 will be almost complete.”
It has been a while since SRK last appeared on the big screen, and his return has been long-awaited. He has Pathan, Atlee’s next actioner and also an immigration drama with Rajkumar Hirani in the pipeline. The combination of Shah Rukh and Salman is a fiery one and the prospect of seeing them together again is really exciting for me. Also, after the success of Rohit Shetty’s cop universe, I am quite confident that this spy universe that YRF is creating, will also be quite a spectacle to witness.
