We are currently living in a digital world where on social media platforms, it’s easy for users to comment on anything they want. But what they don’t understand is the fact that there is a person reading all of their comments and who is mentally getting affected by it. That’s why one thing social media needs the most is empowering and inspiring creators and artists. Just like Rida Tharana who always makes it a point to motivate her audience through her microphone and to stand out from the clutter. Scroll down to know about her and her content.

About Rida Tharana and her content!

Rida was brought up in a conservative family in Coorg. However, now she lives in Bangalore which is her second home. She studied biotechnology in college. She always knew that if she has to make a mark in the world, she has to work and strive her way up. And that’s when she started her journey as a content creator not just to inspire herself but to all the women around her. Most of her content is all about motivational videos, self reminders, breaking stereotypes, empowering women and we really admire her for that. Here’s one of those videos that made her viral.

One of her most popular videos has been of breaking stereotypes and about women taking charge in a society that’s always against them. Apart from her content and a family of over half a million online, she also hosts workshops on confidence-building and public speaking.

We asked her a few questions about her journey…

How has your journey as a content creator been so far?

My journey has been really amazing. It’s been a roller coaster ride with lots of ups and downs but it has given me a lot of exposure and happiness. As I am someone who creates content around issues women face, sometimes, because of my experiences, it comes off a little bit stronger but someone has to put it out there and I do that job. However, I love the people who follow me and I love how excited they are for the content that I put out every single day. The way they engage, the number of shares I get on my videos, just make me feel like I am not alone in the world and we can all fight and win together so it feels really nice.

What made you choose to be an influencer as a career option?

I was not really sure if I could make my influencing journey into a career but I have always loved being in front of the camera and loved speaking. I knew this was my niche because I had been modeling and a professional emcee for 6 years so I used to host a lot of shows and gigs. As I started growing on Instagram after Reels was introduced, it gave me the hype, I realized that I can consider this as a career option and use this as a platform to improve the society around me. Now, I am not just known for my face but also my skill set which is out there for everyone to see and it makes it easier for me in the world of modeling and public speaking.

How has your life changed since you started creating content?

My lifestyle has changed so much now and I can finally afford things that I couldn’t earlier (laughs). Plus, it’s really nice when you step out and people know you and it’s not just because they have seen you somewhere but it’s because they have stories to tell of about how my Reels have impacted them. And that makes me feel kike I am doing something good. The way people treat me has also changed and it’s become better. Workwise, things have become more professional and more respectful for me.

What is the best part about being an influencer?

The best part is my audience because 80% of my audience are women and my DMS and comments are always filled with women who are breaking stereotypes and barriers all around me. So, waking up early in the morning to make content or upload stories makes me happy because I know my girls are waiting for me. It makes me happy that my opinions and videos have helped a lot of women become independent.

Just like her, here we are giving you a reminder of being yourself as you matter too. Rida’s Reels on average cross 500k views and the viral ones are legit viral. We love the fact that she has come such a long way alone and has built a community of people who resonate with her, who are growing with her. On that note, we congratulate her for crossing the 500k mark on Instagram and we hope she keeps inspiring many more women with her empowering content. Also, we hope you all are taking care of yourselves and staying safe.
