I remember hearing about this show called Stranger Things in 2016 which had became quite a rage within days of its release. It was a sci-fi show about some kids playing dungeons and dragons and eventually falling into some supernatural situations. One night, I thought of giving it a try and now more than five years later, I have seen each season of it at least five times. Starring Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Winona Ryder and David Harbour along with an amazing ensemble, the series has just grown and improved. Now, that the thrilling trailer of Stranger Things 4 has been released, I just can’t keep calm.

It has been a long wait between seasons 3 and 4 of almost three years due to the pandemic. The latest season was pushed for a while, but now it is finally ready to arrive on Netflix on May 27, and what makes it more intriguing is that it will be spread across two parts, with the second one releasing on July 1.

Check out the trailer here:

The season 3 ended with the Byers leaving Hawkins with Eleven (Millie), and Jim Hopper (David) being presumed dead and the gateway to ‘the other side’ being closed forever. But soon we were shown that Jim wasn’t dead after all and taken to Russia while ‘the other side’ is still not gone for good. The trailer of season 4 picks up from where season 3 left off, with Will and El trying to adjust to the life outside Hawkins while their friends making their way through life in Hawkins.

But the gateway to the other side seems to have been opened again with Max (Sadie Sink), who is grieving Billie’s death, being the one seeing its affect. There is an impending war and its only El that can make the human race win it and survive. It feels surreal to see these kids I have seen playing dungeons and dragons in the basement, all grown up. There is a haunted house involved this time around and the season is promising a lot more adventure in the other side with almost every character stepping into it.

Things seem to be getting spookier and more dangerous and I am loving the aura that is being created. What actually made my heart jump out of my chest is this new creature from the other side that is scary and astounding at the same time. I am quite excited to see El and the gang take on this new monster.

Stranger Things has become quite a phenomenon and while I am a little heartbroken that the series will end with season 5 and this is the ‘beginning of the end’ as the trailer suggests, I am just looking forward to enjoying and diving into the upcoming season for now. This gang has always made me want to be a part of it and even if across the fourth wall, I have been a part of it for over the last five years. This one is going to be a little bit emotional but a lot more epic!
