Amongst the few gems of Bollywood, a cherished one for me is actress Taapsee Pannu. She is a craftswoman in the true sense. In fact, with every film, Taapsee only delivers an impeccable performance only making me admire her more than before. When I saw Rashmi Rocket, I was just so impressed with not just the story the film told, but also with how brilliantly Taapsee shouldered the film. And now, the actress is returning with yet another amazing performance. This time it is a biopic on the legendary woman cricketer Mithali Raj, called Shabaash Mithu.
The film’s trailer has been released today and along with the gripping storyline, it is Taapsee’s utmost conviction clubbed with compelling dialogues that make this one a sheer winner. Having said that, after watching the trailer this one is surely a journey I would want to witness and know more about.

In case you don’t know, Mithali Raj is known for her record-breaking 23-year-long career in international cricket, making over 10000 runs in ODI. The film, Shabaash Mithu, follows her journey of becoming a legendary cricketer and an inspiration to billions of girls and women across the world. It is also a tribute to the recently retired icon. The film is directed by Srijit Mukherji and produced by Viacom18 Studios, it releases in theatres on 15th July.
The message this Taapsee Pannu starrer carries, ‘Nazariya Badlo, Khel Badlega‘ is already leaving me quite inspired. Other than this, Taapsee has a super impressive lineup. There’s Jana Gana Mana, Dobaara, Alien, Blurr, and Woh Ladki Hai Kahan? in the pipeline. I am sure this film is only going to get lots of praise to Taapsee.
