Right from the poster of Shamshera I have only been very intrigued to know more about the story. And I must say, Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt are leaving no stone unturned in only raising my anticipation. The film’s poster gave us a little glimpse of Ranbir’s larger-than-life avatar, and as I wait to know more about Shamshera, his life and his nemesis with the trailer releasing this Friday, the makers just treated us to a little teaser from the film. And this promo just gives us the right peek we needed into the storyline leaving me eager to find out more.

For those who don’t know, Shamshera is set in the fictitious city of Kaza, where a warrior tribe is imprisoned, enslaved and tortured by a ruthless authoritarian general Shudh Singh. This is the story of a man who became a slave, a slave who became a leader and then a legend for his tribe. He relentlessly fights for his tribe’s freedom and dignity. His name is Shamshera. The film is set in the 1800s in the heartland of India. Sanjay Dutt will be seen playing Ranbir’s arch-enemy and his showdown with Ranbir will be something to watch out for as they will ferociously go after each other with no mercy.
The film also stars Vaani Kapoor in an important role and is said to be a visual extravaganza. Directed by Karan Malhotra, and produced by Aditya Chopra, Shamshera will release on 22nd July in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. Now with such an impressive teaser, I am super thrilled to witness the trailer this Friday.
