I am loving to witness this very amazing phase of life that Ranbir Kapoor is currently in. There are all good things happening for RK on both the professional and personal front. But what’s even more amazing is to see so much of Ranbir these days now that he is promoting his next Shamshera. Honestly, for me, the two best moments from the promotions have been, one where Ranbir fondly spoke about his wife Alia Bhatt during the trailer launch. Another one that just got added to the list is Ranbir roasting himself in a super hilarious promotional video.

Isn’t the bespectacled Ranbir Kapur with a ‘u’ brutal towards Ranbir Kapoor with a double ‘o’ as he sits down to be interviewed? Well, I have only laughed through this conversation, especially at the end. I must say, the songs and the trailer for Shamshera have been simply too good. Recently, when the song Fitoor was released, I instantly fell in love with it. And the trailer, it was just woah!

The story of Shamshera is set in the fictitious city of Kaza, where a warrior tribe is imprisoned, enslaved and tortured by a ruthless authoritarian general Shuddh Singh (played by Sanjay Dutt). This is the story of a man who became a slave, a slave who became a leader and then a legend for his tribe. He relentlessly fights for his tribe’s freedom and dignity. His name is Shamshera. The high-octane, adrenaline-pumping entertainer is set in the 1800s in the heartland of India.
Also, starring Vaani Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt, this action extravaganza has been directed by Karan Malhotra and produced by Aditya Chopra and is set to release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on July 22, 2022.
