That time of the year again is inching close to us with IIFA Awards 2023 gearing up to take place at Yas Islands in Abu Dhabi next year too from the 9th to 11th of February. The 23rd IIFA Awards are going to be quite a spectacular three days celebrating all things Bollywood. What makes me say so is the amazing lineup of performances that are in store for us at IIFA Rocks this year. One such artist who is busy preparing for a spectacular act is Sunidhi Chauhan who I am sure will rock the IIFA stage. I spoke to Sunidhi recently about her IIFA journey and she had many amazing things to say.
Talking about her excitement to be at Yas Islands again for IIFA, she said…
It is super exciting for me, because I love the Yas Islands and Abu Dhabi. I had recently been there for a vacation and had a blast, so I am very happy it’s happening there. I have been a part of IIFA before, it’s a great platform, people from different culture in music and all over the world, buy tickets and come to watch us, celebrate our music and movies, so there couldn’t be a better platform to perform in front of such a vast range of people from all over the globe.
Sharing some more details about her performance, Sunidhi said…
IIFA Rocks has all musicians performing at one stage, alongside me there will be Amit Trivedi, Badshah, and Nucleya, we all know each other and as musicians we will have a gala time performing. It is very rare that we all get together and do something, that’s what is most exciting for me. Also, I am looking forward to watching the awards, there have been some good films and good music this year so it will be some show to watch.
Sunidhi also told me about her fondest memory of IIFA,
I definitely cannot forget my first trip to the IIFA Awards in Yorkshire in 2006, I got the award for ‘Beedi’ that year. That was very exciting, but apart from that Wizcraft and the whole team put everything together, they make us feel so comfortable. Even though we were so far away from home it just felt like we were at home having a great time. I will never forget that trip.
IIFA Awards 2022 was quite a spectacular event and my expectations from IIFA 2023 are even higher. Having said that I am totally looking forward to witnessing Sunidhi Chauhan perform live on stage.
