One of the most talked about contestants on Bigg Boss 16 was Shalin Bhanot. You and I know the reasons for it also, and while I thought that Shalin was a strong contender for the trophy, seeing him out at the fifth position was a little disappointing for me. But Bigg Boss truly became a life-changing experience for Shalin. In fact, it even opened up lots of doors and opportunities for the actor. The biggest and the latest one is the Colors TV show Bekaboo which premieres on 18th March. Other than Shalin the show also stars Eisha Singh, Monalisa, Zain Imam, Shivangi Joshi, Shubhaavi Choksey, Chetan Hansraj, and Arjit Taneja.

I am going all bekaboo for Bekaboo, because Colors plus Balaji is coming together, on top of that I am playing a monster. Supernatural really excites me all the time, whether a Superman, Spiderman, or now Ranav. The wittiness and grey jokes that the character has are a little similar to what Shalin has.
He also spoke about how life has changed after Bigg Boss…
Life has completely changed post Bigg Boss. I was human inside, but I am no longer human or the Shalin that I was. The very next day I became Ranav the monster. After going to Bigg Boss I realized how important it is to be in touch with your loved ones on a daily basis.
Talking about his plans to do films or web shows, Shalin says…
There are lots of plans to star in films and web-shows, I am waiting for my dream producers and directors like Karan Johar and Sanjay Leela Bhansali to give me a call or give me a five-minute job in their movies. I would love to do that.
On his dream role, Shalin commented…
I have just started with my journey of playing different roles, playing a role like Ranav was something I couldn’t have even dreamt of. So it is beyond a dream role for me, and there is a list of dream roles. I would love to play a drunkard like Amitabh sir, or a blind guy like Al-Pachino, picture toh abhi baaki hai mere dost.
